I tend to think that fear is one of Satan’s most powerful weapons against Christians.
That might come as a surprise to you.
Because there are a lot of awfully powerful weapons in Satan’s arsenal.
And a whole host of other weapons I could mention that seem so much more potent than fear.
But I believe the power of fear is in its subtlety.
You see, we often become aware of sins because of what they cause us to do. We see the power of lust because it causes us to commit adultery or look at pornography. We see the power of hatred because it breeds strife and abuse and murder. We see the power of greed because it compels us toward theft and deception.
Fear doesn’t usually cause us to do anything. Instead it holds us back from doing something, preventing us from accessing God’s power and achieving His plan.
And it’s all too easy for us to not even realize what we’re missing.
In today’s featured post, Julie from Unmasking the Mess shares openly about how fear can keep us from grabbing hold of all God has for us. She points out some powerful truths from a biblical example, and offers some practical wisdom to help us identify and overcome the fear that holds us back.
