Sometimes you head over to a trusted friend’s blog, and you expect to be blessed.

You know she’s a great writer. You know she’s faithful to uphold God’s Word. You know she shares truths that are relevant to everyday living.

But you come away with even more than you bargained for. Which is saying a lot.

Sometimes you leave that place with a challenge to your heart that demands a response.

I’m supremely blessed to have several blogging friends who fit this very description, and I’m thrilled to be featuring one of them today.

Leah Adams recently completed a fast. She followed God’s clear leading in her life and willingly gave up some things, just because He said so.

That in and of itself is notable. In these days of fighting for our rights, it’s pretty uncommon to willingly give them up, isn’t it?

It’s been quite some time since I’ve fasted, but through Leah’s post, “What Fasting Meat and Facebook Taught Me,” God has reminded me that fasting is a discipline that yields bountiful blessings.

I dare you to head over to her site and read her post for yourself. You’ll encounter good writing, sure. You’ll encounter God’s Word, absolutely. You’ll encounter truth, yes.

But even more, there’s a high likelihood that you’ll come away challenged to follow in the footsteps of a woman who’s following in the footsteps of Jesus.

I don’t think there are many things better than that.

Enough is enough text on blackboard

Oh Jennifer, I have tears. Thank you for honoring me in such a humbling way. I love Jesus so much, and want others to find Him as faithful as I have found Him to be. I pray that I am the woman you described in your intro…..many days I fall far short. You have blessed me more than you can ever know. Thank you.

Leah, your love for Jesus shines through your writing in a powerful way that impacts hearts and lives for His glory. I’m grateful for your example – as a woman of God and as a blogger in His service. Thank you for your faithfulness to Him. <3
