 From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalm 61:2

This is one of my favorite verses.

Probably because I’m a person whose nature is easily overwhelmed.

Overwhelmed with my to-do list.

Overwhelmed by the needs of lots of little people who need my nurturing care.

Overwhelmed with the sorrows I see in the world around me.

Overwhelmed with the heartaches experienced by those I love.

Overwhelmed by too many needs and not enough hours.

Too many demands and not enough energy.

But God…

It is His sufficiency that cures my overwhelm, and today’s featured post explains this truth so beautifully, I knew the moment I finished reading it that I had to share it with you.

Pam, writer at Journey to Him, discloses the root issue beneath our overwhelmed feelings, as well as the truth we all need to combat them. And I know you’ll be blessed by her powerful testimony of God’s faithful and abundant provision for her through her own season of being overwhelmed.

    I can think back to many life events where I was overwhelmed and see that it was always me who neglected to pause, turn around and fix my eyes on Him. That was all I had to do…turn and catch a glimpse of Him. He was there all along. He is always faithful to carry our burdens. Thank you so much for featuring my piece! This has blessed me today.
