Relationships can be hard, can’t they?
And sometimes, just like that, they’re over.
Perhaps it happened before you were ready to say “goodbye.” Or maybe you saw it coming a mile away.
Either way, from my experience, the pain of a once-close relationship now broken never disappears completely; it remains a dull ache that jabs sharply every once in a while when a memory surfaces.
Do you ever wonder what to do with these feelings? Should I pursue restoration with the person? Or harden my heart to protect it?
If you’ve ever experienced the heartache of a broken relationship, today’s featured post is for you! Writer Bonnie Lyn Smith’s post entitled Heaving Broken Relationships Onto His Altar of Peace is bravely transparent and relatable. She shares from God’s Word and from Jesus’ own experience in a way that will refresh your perspective and renew your hope in God’s sovereignty. Hop over to her blog, Espressos of Faith, and be blessed by her writing.
