Just the other day, I confessed to my husband my tendency toward discontentment.

My own discontentment often takes the form of wishing for another season of life.

When I was a high school student, I couldn’t wait to be in college.

As a college student, I couldn’t wait to be married.

Once I was married, I couldn’t wait to have kids.

Now that I’m married with kids, I sometimes find myself looking back longingly at what I now perceive to be easier days with fewer responsibilities.

Or I look ahead to the time when my husband and I will be free to travel more, and I’ll be free to write more.

Can anyone relate?

This baffles me, quite honestly, because I am living my dream come true.

Still, discontentment occasionally knocks on the door of my heart.

In today’s featured post, Cheryl shares her own experience with discontentment, bearing witness of the heart-changing, attitude-changing, life-changing power of our God.

Stop by her blog, The Long Way to Go, and be encouraged by what the Lord has done for her.

He wants to do the same for you and me!
