“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”
Titus 2:11-14
Dear Heavenly Father, oh, Your grace. I’m just going to think about it for a moment.
Lord, Your grace still amazes me. There’s not a single facet of my life that hasn’t been touched by Your grace. I could thank You for it every moment of every day for the rest of my life, and it still wouldn’t be enough. Thank You for bringing salvation to me through Your grace. Thank You for that same grace that trains me to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, equipping me instead to live a self-controlled, upright, and godly life. As I wait for the return of my Savior, I pray that I would never forget His sacrifice for me, that He might redeem me from lawlessness and purify me for His own possession, a person who is zealous for good works. In the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
