I am so humbled and grateful that you would stop by and spend some time here.
It’s possible that you want to know a little bit about me.
The most important thing you should know is that I am a born-again Christian. But beyond that, I’m a Christ-follower–or I try to be, as His grace keeps working to conform my stubborn heart to His. Which can be a slow process, and sometimes a painful one. But always worth it.
Forgive me; I digress…
I’m Jennifer Clarke, a Virginia girl, born and bred. I’m someone’s wife and best friend.
I’m “Mama” to six smaller someones.
I’m a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a niece, a granddaughter, even a sometimes-foster mom. I am a church member. Some call me “friend.” Some have called me teacher. Many know I’m a reader. Some know I’m very expressive–often with tears–and that music and writing are my two favorite forms of expression. I can’t really help it. They’re part of who I am.
I’m all those things…and more. But in the end, it all comes back to the beginning. Because what I really am is a sinner through and through. And left to my own devices, it would be an utterly hopeless state for me. But thanks to the amazing sacrifice of an ever-pursuing, always-faithful God who loves me and wants to be with me, all that really matters is this: I AM HIS. And I’m learning more and more that this is so much more than enough.
I rest in this truth about belonging to my God, but I also live with the awareness that His goodness toward me makes me a steward.
Of many things, really, but especially of the gospel truth God has entrusted to me for as long as I can remember.
I grew up in a Scripture-focused local church and attended Christian school there, as well, so my biblical training has been lengthy. I’ve attended countless Bible studies and have had numerous strong believers as mentors throughout my life. I’m a voracious reader–especially of God’s Word–and in recent years have had the privilege of learning under such teachers as Danny Akin, Nancy Leigh Demoss Wolgemuth, Jen Wilkin, and Beth Moore.
This vast experience and education combined with the God-given spiritual gift of teaching compels me to share with others what I’ve so richly received. I’m so thankful for the opportunities He has granted me to teach many Bible studies in my local church, to speak at women’s ministry events, to influence hundreds of thousands of people through this website, and to serve Christ’s Church in the other ways He has qualified me and commissioned me to do.

I just read your article, The Importance of self control for Christians. God is good! I had just spoke to God stating “That is what I have to get under control”. You see I just ate an organic dark chocolate bar and became very full and regretting it. At that moment I came across your article. It was an eye opener. Thank you for sharing your testimony. I was reading my life experience verbatim. I know God has a plan for me to help heal his people.
Blessings to you and your family.
I’m so glad that post was a blessing to you. God is still working on my heart about self-control, but I’m excited to see the progress He is making as I’m trying to yield my desires to Him every day. He gives us good things to enjoy, but that enjoyment can easily become an obsession when we indulge too much and too often. May God bless you and strengthen your spirit as you follow hard after Him!
It’s been a pleasure visiting your Bog Jennie. I believe you have a calling in Christ to bless many with the True knowledge of God in our generation.

Trying to subscribe to your blog and having difficulty.
Hello, Dot! I’m sorry you’re having difficulty. The process typically works like this: Enter your email address in the box labeled “Don’t miss a post!” on the left-hand side of the page. After clicking “subscribe,” you’ll go to a page where you need to enter the letters/numbers that you see. You should then receive an email instructing you to verify your request by clicking the link provided.
At which point in the process are you having difficulty? It’s a tremendous honor to me when someone subscribes to the blog, and I’m sorry you’re having a problem.
Are you still around? I pinned the red x last year. I just learned thru Tenth Avenue North that yesterday was Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
Interested in your insights if you are still sending them out.
Blessings, Terri
Hi, Terri! Yes, I’m still here. 🙂 And human trafficking is still an issue that burns heavily in my heart. In fact, I write a post spotlighting some aspect of human trafficking and/or slavery on the 27th of every month. If you’re interested, you can find them here:

No, I’m not from GA; but I’m in VA, not too terribly far away. 🙂 The Google Adsense ads on my site are typically based on recent internet activity of the person viewing the site, so I’m sure that’s why you’re seeing an ad from Braselton. I pray God’s continued blessings on your writing, and on your other aspects of ministry!

I’m not sure I have the right Jennifer but came here because of a user name in the Bible Memory app. I think you just passed me up. 🙂 Loved the article on racial justice — particularly the part about if we err, let’s err on the side of love. This last year I’ve reexamined a lot of what I thought I knew about race in our nation, and realized I have so much more to learn.
God bless you in your ministry!
J. Gabriel (in Arkansas)
Hey there! Yep, you’ve got the right Jennifer. I love the Bible Memory app! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look around. I appreciate your encouragement about my post on racial justice, and especially your willingness to keep learning from the perspectives of others. It’s refreshing to encounter that kind of humility in these days. So glad you took the time to say hello!
Warmly,
Jennifer
I was actually searching for carrier direction and i came across the divine encounter, i must say that am please with what have learned here, thank u so much for the scriptures.
I’m so glad you’ve been blessed here! Thank you for taking the time to let me know.
Hi Jennifer I am praying for our Pastor’s wife (CIG) Mary who is visiting her Father in New York but lives in Vienna Austria. Her father is stubborn and just won’t turn to Jesus, His Father dies a martyr in North Korea as a leader of a Church, his wife walked with the children to South Korea and never knew what happened to her husband but his body was never found.
The family ended up in America, Mary ( daughter) went to Bible college met Rob Prokop and married, they now Pastor a Bilingual Church in Vienna ( C.I.G.) which I attended as a member and close friend to Rob& Mary. The prayer you showed for parents is good but how do I pray so sincere for Mary’s Father who is in his 80’s and has pulled through the last 3x heart attack.
Hi, Christopher! Thank you for sharing this story with me. I’m happy to join you in prayer for Mary’s father. Perhaps this post will be helpful to you; the first half of it contains prayers for those who are unsaved. May the Lord’s lovingkindness draw this man to Himself by faith!
I’m a father of 3 Siblings and a husband to their mother. I’m humbled by our servant-hood as born again recepients. I’m a born South African who understand the “word” as the seed of life in God’s will. I have been challenged by the seeds you plant in people’s life. Though we come across challenges but thee almighty tramples on them like the sands of the Earth.
Hi Jennifer im writing you from Africa.thank you so much for uplifting words.i jus came across your website by the grace of GOD.
LOVE from Africa
