God’s Word is full of Bible verses about taking action. Which is incredibly helpful considering the journey I’ve recently undertaken.
You see, I didn’t make a long list of resolutions this year. Instead, I chose a single word to reflect some changes I’ve sensed God leading me to make.
Because far too often, I’ve allowed good thoughts and good words and good intentions to stop short of good actions.
I’ve let fear and laziness and discouragement paralyze me, rendering me inactive.
But no more.
You see, God has been bringing to my attention just how much He cares about what I do.
And how I do it.
I’ve found that God’s Word has so much to say about taking action. I’ve been inspired and ignited as I’ve pondered God’s truth; and hopefully not in a here-today-and-gone-tomorrow kind of way. I pray it’s more like a slow-burn-that-takes-over-everything-from-now-on kind of way.
Whether you have a list of resolutions you’re acting on, or just need a jumpstart in your service for your Master, I think these 15 Scriptures I’m claiming this year will encourage you, too.
Let’s claim them in prayer and hide them in our hearts. May they bear much fruit in our lives as we get busy about the work of Christ’s Kingdom!

I am all about this post! It is so practical for the Christ follower. All of my Monday posts at my blog last year were part of a series I called “Heart Notes”. Each Monday I offered a new Scripture and a bit of commentary on it. I also offered monthly printables to go along with that month’s verses. Scripture is truly pertinent and applicable to every part of our lives. Great post!

Thanks for your encouragement, Leah! I love your idea of highlighting Scripture on a regular basis, as I, too, believe strongly in the importance of the Bible in the life of believers. What a high calling we have, to point others to God’s Word with our writing! It’s a true privilege to labor alongside you toward that end.
